"It is the year 2623, and the city of Nassa is caught in the grasp of a trio of ruthless multinational corporations. With infinite wealth, power and influence over every aspect of life, they rule with an iron fist, bending the law to their will in order to squash the first sign of rebellion the moment that it first bubbles to the surface. With what funds there were for law enforcement reallocated to the corps to do as they will, common crime runs through the city’s lower levels unchecked as the divide between rich and poor grows ever larger. Everyday citizens go about their daily lives, aware of the injustice but not daring to voice their opinions, lest a roaming security ‘bot overhear and send Mercury Enterprise’s Ghosts knocking at their doors.

But not everyone is so easily silenced. Within the depths of Nassa’s dark, gritty underbelly, the Resistance fights using the corporations’ technology against them. The internet has become the last remaining sanctuary from the ever dangerous corps, and using this and their enigmatic leader known only as the Wraith, the insurgents wage a seemingly hopeless war against the city’s ruling tyrants. They say that every empire crumbles eventually, but even the Resistance members themselves are beginning to lose hope as they suffer more and more causalities as the multinational corporations continue to tighten their grip.
