"Teracine is a land in which the fate of citizens is decided by mystical Seers, and has been since remembered history. A person's occupation and wife is decided for them when they come of age, whether they are Human or Elven. The Seers then weave the person's fate into a magical tapestry. Any attempts in the past to alter these histories by anyone other than the Seers themselves have lead to the demise of all those demise, even simple victims of the tampering. This is life for the average Teracian person.

Vampires and demons lurk in the midst. They hide their true natures from the world in order to carry out their slaughter - or, as is the case of the Vampires, their attempt to usurp the power of other races. Any race can become a vampire, and vampires seek to remain hidden and turn others discreetly. They are growing in number despite attempts to eradicate them."
